Continuing Medical Education
CME activities help to promote higher education and quality in healthcare which can improve clinical outcomes and professional performances in our local healthcare organizations. The central Illinois area is fortunate to be able to offer many strong Continued Medical Education programs. We feel that one of the most important resources that we can offer to our area health care providers is information regarding CME opportunities not only within the Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation, but throughout the community. The Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation updates our CME listings once a month to encourage and promote attendance at area CME activities.
Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation CME Mission Statement
The Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation (IHLF) Continuing Medical Education Program exists to improve the overall education and skill level of physicians and health care providers. The CME Committee will accomplish this through the use of critical case reviews, lectures, workshops and other innovative educational methods. The focus of these programs will be any medical and health care issues of concern within the local and statewide health care community as identified by the Illinois Heart & Lung CME Program. The objective of these programs is to increase practitioners’ knowledge resulting in the integration of the information into the clinical practice, and therefore, improving patient care.
